Controls to set first

• The platform owner approves production changes, maintenance windows, and rollback decisions
• Accounts use least privilege, separate environments, named identities, and MFA
• Secrets come from an approved vault and are masked in command output and CI logs
• Destructive commands require plan evidence, peer review, and an approved execution window

Practical launch plan

1. Map repositories, environments, cloud accounts, deployment paths, and escalation owners
2. Grant read-only access first and verify audit logs before allowing scoped non-production edits
3. Choose one non-production pipeline or alert change with explicit validation steps
4. Review the plan and runbook; the platform owner conducts the first production execution
